CAMAIR-CO’S NEW BOARD CHAIR INSTALLED

A new board chair has been appointed to head Cameroon Airline Corporation Camair-Co. Louis George NJIPENDI was installed into his functions Monday April 24 2017 by the minister of transport, Edgard Alain MEBE NGOH.

The new board chair was urged to continue efforts made at improving the services of the 5-year-old company which born out if the defunct Cameroon airlines in 2011, has known turbulent times in its management.

The government has taken a series of measures to get it back on its feet. Last week the management signed deals to acquire 2 aircrafts.

Camair-Co’s domestic flights have been extended to more destinations in the country. Camair-Co’s director general Ernest DIKOUM has taken measures to cut down on expenditure. More measures are expected to follow to get the company out of troubled skies.

the 44-year-old civil administrator replaces MEFFIRO OUMAROU, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Transport, who has held the post for the past 7 months.
