The invitation was extended recently in Bamenda, North West Regional capital, by the party’s North West elite during a pre-campaign meeting.

The meeting that was chaired by the North West Regional Central Committee Permanent Delegation head, Prime Minister, Head of government, Philemon Yang ended with a motion of support wherein the party members in the North West Region pledged their unalloyed support and a resounding victory for President Paul Biya.  The CPDM top notch in the region as well as grassroots militants urged President Biya not only to visit Bamenda as he has severally done but also to launch the campaigns for the presidential election in Bamenda, birth place of the CPDM.

The motion of support signed by the CPDM political elites of the region stated emphatically that only President Paul Biya has the charisma, experience and disposition to manage the current difficulties facing Cameroon at the moment. They hold that President Paul Biya is the “best, our reasoned choice and an old hand that the North West and Cameroon need now more than ever before.”

The pre campaign meeting which had as major objective the mapping out of strategies to ensure the CPDM champion emerges victorious in the upcoming poll provided an opportunity for the CPDM bigwigs of the region to thank President Paul Biya for accepting to stand as the party’s flag bearer.

The North West elites of the ruling CPDM party equally thank President Paul Biya for the continues development carried out in the region as well as the appointment of sons and daughters of the region into top government positions.  Following rich discussions during the meeting and presentations of field activities in all the 34 sub-divisions in the North West Region, participants appreciated all measures taken by the Head of State to guarantee the security and stability of the nation.

The CPDM also declared that they are conscious of the diabolic plans opposition political parties have against the CPDM and thus urged the administration to be aware of the prevailing insecurity and detect the evil hands behind especially in the Diaspora.

While condemning the barbaric acts perpetrated in the region by armed separatists with kidnappings, killings, arson, looting and destruction of public and private property, the North West CPDM elites called on the armed separatists to drop their arms because terrorism has never thrive nowhere in the world. They reiterated their support for the Head of State’s stance for one and indivisible Cameroon and the promotion of living together.
