Crisis in the North West and South West regions: Paul Biya ordered a discontinuance of proceedings of 289 Cameroonians

We must know our differences, must understand our differences, we must know and understand that we are all different people with different differences. We all have different differences that are not all that different. Understanding is the matter. When we get to understand our differences well we shall least spit on each other just because of our differences.

The socio-political crisis in the North West and South West Regions coupled with the incursion of the Boko Haram sect in the far north region. These crisis no doubt have caused enormous suffering not only to the populace of these regions, but has affected and paralysis the smooth functioning of governance in Cameroon be it economic, political, social and security wise. It has no doubt caused people to flee their birth places to seek refuge either within or beyond the territorial boundaries. It has reached its peak wherein Cameroonians in and out of the country are murmuring of what is the next step to be taken so as come out from this sham where things are almost grinding to a halt.
For things to return to normalcy, ample solutions need to be put in place for grievances to be addressed. It is in the face of these challenges that the head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces, Paul Biya on November 30, 2018, signed a decree creating the national disarmament, demobilization and reintegration committee of ex-fighters of Boko Haram and armed groups in the North West and south west regions. The whaling by the people is more than enough and the Commander in chief of the armed forces whose next move have been saluted by many Cameroonians of good will likewise international organizations and the civic society.
This salutation was not yet digested when the head of state came with a Christmas gift on the 13th of December 2018 wherein the minister delegate at the presidency in charge of defense was instructed for a discontinuance of proceedings of 289 Cameroonians tried in line with the crisis in the North West and south west regions. To this effect, the president granted clemency for the immediate release of the beneficiaries. The gesture by the Head of state does not only need to be saluted for it worth more than a thousand words.
Senior warrant officer I must confess that this gesture by the head of state worth more than a thousand word.
