October 7 Presidential Election: Issa Tchiroma Drums Support for President Paul Biya in the North

The National Chairman of the National Salvation Front of Cameroon party (FSNC) recently toured some localities of the North Region to galvanise support for President Paul Biya’s 2018 presidential bid in the upcoming poll.

After touring some localities in the North Region, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, President of the National Salvation Front of Cameroon party and Minister of Communication, has scheduled another big rally of the party for early September in Guider, capital of Mayo-Louti Division. The event will indeed be a decisive opportunity for the support of this political party to the candidacy of President Paul Biya in the upcoming presidential election of 7 October.

As a prelude to this great gathering, the big congress of the National Salvation Front of Cameroon (FSNC) held this Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Garoua. Before the Garoua meeting, the FSNC National President accompanied by his party top bras concluded the first lap of the political visit to the Northern Region.

Issa Tchiroma Bakary visited Dourbey, a border town about 50 kilometres from Guider, to meet with local party leaders. Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary has been preaching the support of President Paul Biya’s candidacy stating that he is the right choice for Cameroon at the moment.

He also met other local officials of allied political parties in the area. He stopped at the Divisional Coordinator of the Democratic Movement for the Defence of the Republic (MDR), Boubakary Djidda. For several minutes, the two men spoke in camera.

But according to news reports, the meeting was aimed at concerting with local political leaders, given the will of the National President of the FSNC to federate all the men of conviction behind the candidacy of President Paul Biya”.

Then, all roads led to Guider, where he held a coordination meeting with the local party officials. It was during this meeting that the date of the mega-conference of the month of September was adopted. It was also during the meeting that the various commissions set up for the success of this event were unveiled. For Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary, “the organization of the Guider meeting must go down in history to thank the Head of State for having offered a senator for FSNC party from Mayo-Louti”.

Hence the wish of the Minister of Communication to see this meeting bring together 30,000 to 40,000 people. “It will be time for us to say to the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, that wherever the FSNC is, no voice will be neglected.” He urged all his party members and supporters in Mayo-Louti to rally support for the President Paul Biya, who is their candidate among the lot because of his vision for a better Cameroon. Issa Tchiroma Bakary also made a trip to Maroua in the Far North, where he held a wide consultation to prepare the presidential campaign.
